My background isn’t in generic digital sculpting. Since 2011, I’ve worked professionally as a tool design engineer, using SolidWorks to design complex, high-tolerance mechanical systems.
Along the way, I fell in love with 3D printing and the community around it. I realized I wanted to take the mechanical engineering and design skills I’d developed professionally and use them for something more creative — while helping other makers learn, build, and grow.
Today, I’ve traded tooling design for a new journey in 3D printing.
I use SolidWorks for Makers to create premium, printable models and to teach others how to master the same tools and techniques I use in my own design workflow.
